Biometric-based authentication and GNU/Linux

Howdy All,

It looks like interest in Biometrics and GNU/Linux is growing, as
evidenced by the launch of the forums at http://www.linuxbiometrics.com/

Several developers there are talking about building a BioAPI (the
dominant, open, and cross-platform API for interfacing with
biometric-based devices and algorithms) to PAM bridge.

If you have an interest in biometric technology or found my talk on this
subject to ASULUG last year interesting then getting involved with this
effort would be a great way to learn more and expand the usefulness of
GNU/Linux.
