Debian needs about 30MB for a base install. You can get it smaller by
removing some stuff or you can add more packages. It probably need 50 - 60
MB for the actual install, though.
Don't know about support for the PC-card, but that should be a kernel thing,
so you'd be able to make one.

Does it come up looking like hda? If so, then it's probably a done deal.
