About Jill:
Jill is a long time member of the Free Software community, serving
on
the PLUG steering committee and as BoF organizer for the Southern
California Linux Expo (SCaLE). They are a member of the Ansible core
development team at Red Hat, focused on AWS and other Cloud modules.
der.hans: GNU/Linux tuning for MongoDB
Description:
MongoDB is a popular document-oriented database.
Like most databases, MongoDB benefits from particular GNU/Linux
system tuning.
While GNU/Linux distributions and container distributions create
good default configurations, they need some changes to get optimal
performance for your database needs.
Attendees will learn about the following for MongoDB:
* Linux kernel tuning
* memory tuning
* block device tuning
* filesystem tuning
* network tuning
About der.hans:
der.hans is a Free Software, technology and entrepreneurial veteran.
He is a repeat author for the Linux Journal with his article about
online privacy and security using a password manager as the cover
article for the January 2017 issue.
He's chairman of the Phoenix Linux User Group (PLUG), BoF organizer
for the Southern California Linux Expo (SCaLE), and founder of the
Free Software Stammtisch and Stammtisch Job Nights.
Currently a Customer Data Engineer at Object Rocket. Most likely
anything he says publicly was not approved by $dayjob.
He often presents at large community-led conferences (SCaLE, SeaGL,
LFNW, Tübix) and many local groups.

The meeting will start at 7pm at The Desert Breeze Substation.
People start arriving as early as 6pm, so if you would like to help
setup and/or chat for a while, arrive a little early.
We will go for food (usually to BJs at the Chandler Fashion
Center Mall) after the meeting so we can chat with each other
comfortably. Please feel free to join us. Please come even if you
aren't hungry, the food is not mandatory.
