Show up on Thursday May 11th to get help securing your mobile and desktop electronics.
A CryptoParty is a global, decentralized, grass-root movement to help people protect their privacy.
The Phoenix Linux Users Group (PLUG) will have labs to help you setup things like secure messaging with Signal, VPN, TOR, a password manager and multi-factor authentication.
A CryptoParty relies on two resources. 1) people with the knowledge and desire to lead a lab; 2) people who want to take the lab and improve their security.
We have a list of potential topics thus far, so we the first
covered. We have a survey up, so people can indicate that they
are interested in a particular topic.

The survey will be disabled the
night before the meeting, so please take it now if you will
attend the meeting and want to have a particular lab.
If you would like to offer a new topic or lead a lab on one of
the listed topics please contact us via the PLUG-discuss mailing
list, PLUG IRC channel or one of our social media accounts (
Google+ and Meetup ).
PLUG’s east side meeting is the second Thursday of the month starting at 19:00. Doors open at 18:30 for some pre-meeting socializing.
