JOB
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
This
position requires working with internal clients and marketing staff for
the purpose of developing websites and web applications to meet current
college needs. It is responsible for turning design and user interface
mockups into functional websites, custom programming and web
application development, troubleshooting of existing college sites,
contributing ideas and efforts toward internal projects and working as
part of a team to find solutions to various problems. The Developer
must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between
different browsers, monitor industry trends, technologies, and
standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new
technologies as necessary. This is a temporary position; applicants
will be required to re-apply for a permanent position if posted.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s
degree in computer science, computing studies or information
technology.

Involvement
in and contributions to the Drupal community
·
Familiarity
with revision control systems such as CVS and Subversion
·
Experience
enhancing the performance of high-traffic sites
·
Experience
with AJAX or jQuery
·
Working
knowledge of basic TCP/IP network architecture and internet protocols
(HTTP/S, SMTP, POP & FTP)
·
Experience
with SharePoint
·
Experience
with SiteMax Chat or similar chat programs
·
Experience
with creating databases integrated with a CRM
·
Experience
with online digital media including HD video and digital compression
technologies
·
Knowledge
of ASP.NET
