that should take of dependencies and all.
That 'urpmi' command did not work,
It would if you had a valid sources defined and the file was on one of the sources.
but searching the 'net I found that I needed to use this syntax:
# urpmi libgcj6-4.0.1-5mdk.i586.rpm
This form is used when you want to install a file that you have already downloaded.
However, when I did that, I still got the response shown below:
Some package requested cannot be installed:
libgcj6-4.0.1-5mdk.i586 (due to unsatisfied libgcj6-base[== 4.0.1])
Continue? (Y/n)
So, I searched the 'net again and found this:
http://archives.mandrivalinux.com/cooker/2006-03/msg00506.php
Subject: [Cooker] [Bug 15405] [perl-Libconf] RESOLVED:
Failed Install of drakxtools-ng b/c unsatisfied perl(Libconf::System::Users)
drakxtools-ng was removed from contribs, as it was deprecated and
unmaintained. Seems like libconf::system has not been packaged,
as now is separated from general libconf
This information may only apply to cooker, not the stable distribution...
However, no information is provided to explain how to overcome this problem?
So what do I need to do to get this 'urpmi' to work?
Try going to the 'easy Urpmi' website and setting up sources for main, contrib,
etc.. ( Remove any invalid sources first -> urpmi.removemedia -a )
