Thanks for sharing your experience. I also upgraded to Kubuntu 24.04 about 2 months ago and discovered I could not print to my network printer (Canon D570).
The print job would remain stuck in the queue.  Poking around in the /etc/cups/printer.conf.
It appears cups-browsed overwrites the network printer "DeviceURI" ipp://Canon-D570.local:631/ipp/print"
with "implicitclass://Canon_D570/"  To fix this I have to reconfigure the printer every time I reboot my desktop.
