Bash +Perl, and a side of python will cover pretty much all of the above. and a number of PHP applications are commonly managed this way. popular because of its communication with MySQL

Programming has always been the dominate part of Linux and PHP.

I'm wondering if there is any value in making Linux the dominate partner
and programming the support partner.
