Helpfully this is something that came up recently with a coworker, here's how you can both check to see who Chrome is allowing to sent alerts and how to remove that permission:
- In the address bar put in "chrome://settings" to go directly to the settings page (you can also click the menu button in the upper right corner and then choose settings)
- On the settings page scroll down to the bottom and click on Advanced to show more settings
- In the new section that shows up, under Privacy and Security click on Site Settings
- In Site Settings click on Notifications, this will show the sites allowed to send notifications as well as any which have been specifically blocked from sending them.
- For any of the listed sites click on the three dot button on the right to bring up a context menu with actions you can take. The choose Block, Edit, or Remove. Edit would be if you realized there was a typo in the url, block is basically "No, I'll never, ever want notifications from this site," while Remove simply removes it from the list.
- You might also see a button that looks sort of like a jigsaw puzzle piece. That shows up if a browser extension is allowing the notifications to take place. There should be a small triangle button to the left of that which will take you to the settings page for that extension.

This sounds like something was given notification access. Does it happen when your browser is up and running? or anytime regardless of the browser? On Wed, May 29, 2019 at 5:49 AM Michael < bmike1@gmail.com> wrote:How do I turn off notifications?
