If I ever get a 2GB stick, i'll try it. I tried the plop
option. I used the script that allows you to customize the image
burned to disc. This saves me having to choose any of the
available options. I put in the cd, and the usb stick, boot boot
the machine and I get the multisystem menu. Thanks
I think at the time the biggest we had was a 2GB stick. And unless a board supports EFI/UEFI I have never had success booting from MicroSD/SD.

I tried a 4GB micro sd card and machine wouldn't boot from it. Like the
other attempts, it gets to the screen showing all these devices and
their IRQ settings and stops. I have some CDs around here somewhere.
I'll try plop. Then in a day or two I'll go to walmart and get a 4GB
usb stick if they still sell them. Thanks for all the replies.
