Do you mean the partitions can't be accessed as long as the phone
is locked to one carrier? Stephen, I checked remote filesystem
browser in settings on the desktop, and it's enabled. On the
phone kde connect has storage permissions and all other
permissions I can give it. (contacts, phone, sms, and storage)
Make sure your phone is unlocked, android locks the partitions when the phone is, same as adb. Also, android is definitely weird about sd-card access, you typically have to unlock it specially to request permissions separately, I've run into this on numerous devices that access files there, and may limit connect.
I don't use kde or dolphin much to use this feature, but I know I *have* used it in the past, just don't remember details beyond above.

This computer has Kubuntu 18.04 64 bit installed on it. Is this a problem with android 8? I know android gets to be more of a pain in the ass to use with each new version. It seems they're trying to make it so secure that people can't use it.
