Glad it wasn’t your issue!
I’ve had some strange issues with my alienware (with Mint 8.1, or 8.something) where, after a suspend the WiFi doesn’t work. A reboot is required to fix (and
fix it does).
Since I regularly have a LOT of context set up on stuff I’m working on, a reboot isn’t a good thing.
So, I worked around THAT issue by using VirtualBox to run all my development work that I want the environment saved for, and non-virtualbox for all my web browsing
and so forth. Works great. Yes, it’s a workaround, but its one I’m pretty happy with.
