I'm looking to get a job and one of the things they want is for us to be able to zip files before we send them. Now there is tar and all of those zip abilities but there windows centric so I zeed a windows zip thing. Is there a linux utility to do this or else what do you think I can do? I'll be compressing photos (if it makes a difference).
After a little looking into this myself I found a discussion which says merely use 'zip -k'. Is there a better way to do this?
