I love powerline fonts. Every computer I connect to, I install those for my user. I run tmux and vim with status bars and use powerline for both. Absolute joy even when developing.

Also, the stock Ubuntu font is nice but I think powerline has a replacement for it. Not sure the equivalent in red hat. But with a little poking you can find it no doubt. I use powerline in all applications and even in the GUI. It's fantastic.

Good luck hans!

Always use powerline fonts and Google fonts are absolutely Haram.

I should finally look at powerline. I'm not a fan of status lines taking
up space in my xterms ( konsole until I can get reasonable xterm fonting
on the steam machine ). Circumstantial status lines could be useful.

powerline fonts installed.

/me feels the powerline of Grayskull.

Hey, it's Saturday morning, cheesy cartoon references are appropriate :).

moin moin,

I'm at my once a decade point of caring about fonts.

It's awesome that distributions support so many languages, but Urdu,
Klingon and Thai having legible fonts are not going to help me read them.

fonts-gfs-complutum - ancient Greek font revival from the University of

That's cool and useful for a friend, but it's been a while since I've
spoken any Greek aside from Opa[0].

So, aside from grepping out 50 languages, how do I determine which debian
packages I should install to get all the cool fonts that will enrich my
digital culteral experience?

I might be asking the same thing about CentOS and Fedora next week, so
rpm-based answers also welcome.

I am mostly concerned about xterm, konsole, GIMP and LibreOffice. In that
order.
