for those who don't know:

       full-upgrade
full-upgrade performs the function of upgrade but may also remove
installed packages if that is required in order to resolve a package
           conflict.

You might want to try the kde neon ppa to get up to latest, I upgraded to 5.7.2 for hopefully some fixes yesterday, and I'll have to say, there are a lot of things working better now/fixed.  So far my displays haven't freaked out when being unplugged, though my taskbar is still going to the wrong display.

wget -qO - 'http://archive.neon.kde.org/public.key' | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-add-repository http://archive.neon.kde.org/unstable
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade

Side note, if you haven't tried it in plasma5, KDE Connect is an awesome little android (those i-things too) app that pairs the pc and phone now.  It's great, when I get a call, my music will mute automatically, I can browse the file systems (wasn't working in plasma 5.5, default 16.04), automatic screen saver suppression when connected, lots more.  I really dig this, you can find it in system settings under "hardware".

Well the only issue I am running into is with the weird sliding issue of the one display. I am running 16.04 and really have not run into the other issues.

And Wayland is being stubborn ad well.

A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
