I would verify the requirements and make sure there is not one that is conflicting.

It is strange luminance and hugin are both installed. Now luminance was not working so I reinstalled it with apt and then apt informed me that it needed to uninstall hugin. I let it do it and after I was done with what I had to do I reinstalled hugin. now both work as they had before. Why is this? I figure it is the order in which the programs were installed.
