If you want to see all the details of the transfer you need --progress.  It defaults to alphabetically by directory/filename so if the last file listed in the directory is the last file transferred then it worked.

and I do not know if it worked. I already had rsynced /home/bmike1/Pictures and /home/bmike1/Music previously so I just watched the thumb drive flash momentarily. I think it was a success but I would like confirmation.
