I'm cleaning things out and found my Asus EeePC 701. I haven't used it in a long time. Maybe one of you would like to have it.
If you want it, reply privately. I travel during the week so we'd have to meet up somewhere on a Saturday to get the computer to you.
A few description points:
- It boots just fine, as you can see from the pictures. It currently has some old version of EasyPeasy distro on it.
- Because it has been sitting in a box, the battery is not charged. While it looks in good shape from the outside, it likely won't ever hold a charge for very long, if it still works.
- The built-in wireless is not working. I know there is a wireless card inside that theoretically could be replaced. I did not investigate.
- The wired ethernet port is working just fine.
- I don't recall the amount of RAM or built-in SSD storage.
- The SD card slot on the side still works and can be used as a boot drive.
