Connect a computer directly to the modem and see if you can get online, this will tell you where a fault may be. Before calling it dead a factory reset should be done.

So you may need to fully powercycle the modem and router (power both off, power on modem first and fully then router on) and see if that resets you.but much like a previous thread you may have to reset your router or even see if it is damaged. On Sun, Aug 9, 2015 at 12:05 PM, Michael Havens <bmike1@gmail.com> wrote:---------------------------------------------------well, I was on the pi doing something when there was another power surge. This time nothing seemed to be amiss but now I can't open the ip address of the router. the media center won't connect to the internet (as said before) and so I did a reset of the router which cleared the password I saved in it so I need to reset the password so the pi will work wirelessly.... gosh, maybe I did that before and that is why it won't connect. Regardless, why can't I get into the ip address?--:-)~MIKE~(-:
