I wqas wondering about the ice address but they weren't bouncing until a couple of days ago. I had sent a message to the ftc spam address and it bounced but if you read the bounce message it tells you to send it to spam@uce.gov . Nothing I have sent to that address has bounced yet.

None of these links are working, as you have found out.

ICE is Immigration and Custom Enforcement, Except for boarder, terrorist related or certain types of fraud spam does not seem to be in their bailiwick.

I suspect that someone was trying to be funny with the ICE e-mail address.

The FTC is responsible. but their web page which offers the the other two addresses was posted in 2004, and the mailboxes and web sites seem to be long gone.

I have written the webmaster complaining of outdated information, but the chances of anything happening are low. However, every one in a while the government actually constructively responds. I think they are trying to use random reinforcement in an effort to maintain my astonishment level when something actually happens as I think it should.

you know.... in my research into the matter I found uce@ftc.gov (or something like that). my mail to that address bounced but in the bounce message there was notification that the new address was spam@uce.gov . I've been forwarding my spam to that address but I found today tha a person sends their spam to spam@ice.gov. Neither email bounces so that leaves me wondering..... which is the right one?

Probably very easy to do so.

I think I recall a lawyer that was making a living suing for
spam.  I'm not sure I recall correctly, however I think he was
getting $2500 per infraction and had many email addresses.

I get spam w/o the unsubscribe link required by law. Who do I
send it
to to get them in trouble?
