Hi all,
I need to get some long ethernet cabling for my home network (around 35ft). I
currently have a gigabit switch want
to ensure that the cable can accommodate gigabit ethernet
speed. For the machines that are
hard wired, I
currently use cat
5e.
Looking on NewEgg I see
cat 5e
and cat 6
cables.
What's the difference
between the
two? Do
I need to get
Cat
6 or will
Cat 5e accommodate
gigabit
network
speeds?
Thanks!
Peter
