you know.... I read the article. Then I reread it. Then the first paragraph caught my attention... but it still didn't make any sense. Then I remembered that a lot of the time if you take out the extra words it then it might.

C is procedural, which is easier to learn.  C++ is object oriented.  Java is object oriented.  I have not looked at Python so I cannot comment. PHP is object oriented, however most use it for scripting (old school PHP).
