I figured out what the problem was. I had mounted the drive with the GUI and then had mounted it with a tty. I only needed to shut the tty down as well as the GUI.

1- I attempted to back up all my documents directory to a 32G flash. It responded "No room left.
2- I erased the data on the the flash drive that was already backed up. Still, no room on device.

What do I need to do to make room? I think this happened before and to solve the problem I remade the file system. There has to be another way!
