For a decent basic video editor, I like openshot   ( openshot.org)  and they are in the process of updating it to version 2.0 which will have a windows and Mac version as well as a Linux version.

I'll second that.  Make sure you load the latest version, 0.9.8, that just came out a couple of weeks ago.  It's more stable that the version that is in the repositories right now.  Not that the repository version is horribly unstable, but it can bite you from time to time, but it is really good at saving a recovery file so you can just reload and continue on with what you were doing.

            Hi,

About 6 months ago I switch to Kubuntu and am trying to stay
with Linux for my workstation.  I need to find a couple
tools that will help me with that goal.  I am a LAMP dev not
a designer, however, occasionally I need to edit am image or
create a button. I also need to work with HTML/CSS.

            Any recommendations on:

            1) Graphics editor

            2) Movie editor for YouTube tyle stuff

            3) (X)HTML editor - would like a wysiwyg editor where I can
look at the code and switch views so I can see what the
HTML/CSS might look in a browser.

Thanks in advance for your input.  Please no flame wars.

            Keith
