For most intents and purposes an Enterprise system will be using RAID controllers, with acceleration, so a SD card IS not a benefit. I have a Dell with SD single level drive that is slower, but it's probably due to Microsoft 7.

With respect to performance, I'd be more suspicious of the software (and OS for that matter) controlling the drives rather than the drives themselves. If the OS is tuned for HDD, then SSDs may not gain any benefit.
