<div><br></div><div>as a recap:</div><div><br></div><div>localhost:631 sees the printer<br>if I select the printer in the pulldown  after 30 seconds the print state changes from &#39;Processing page 1&#39;  to &#39;The printer is not responding&#39;. If I go into cups and add the printer again as a local printer (rather than a network printer) and in &#39;connection&#39; insert the servers ipaddress (192.168.0.3) then after selecting the printe the state doesn&#39;t switch to &#39;the printer is not responding but rather it is &#39;unable to get printer status.&#39;</div>
