March 10th, 2012 STACS Encroachment Online HackFest
This big competition online hackfest will feature a short Presentation about the STACS Unit(s), which will be video recorded and posted. Encroachment will begin on March 10, 2012, from the MakerBench facility and continue for 4 days online. Our sponsors will provide two cash gift certificates for anyone who can provide a flag from either STACS® 100PP and STACS® 100ID devices. We will post all updates regarding this event via @obnosis on twitter and via http://it-clowns.com/c/index.php/hackfests/march/ We don't require registration to compete.
Dean Franks Bio:
Dean Franks has been developing custom hardware and software solutions for over 30 years. Specializing in efficient, high availability systems, Dean has designed solutions for many Fortune 100 companies including CareMark/CVS, Allied Signal (now part of Honeywell), Fujitsu, StorageTek (now part of Sun Micro), Microsoft and Interact Commerce (now part of Sage Software).

projects including thumb print readers, CNC motion control systems and
very high speed data acquisition interfaces for SAW signal analysis. Low level development projects included Microsoft Flight Simulator
(assembly language) and device drivers for virtualized StorageTek L700
tape silo. Enterprise projects include a variety of high
performance OLTP and warehousing systems, a redesigned database
synchronization server for SalesLogix(tm) and a comprehensive real-time
decision support system to track all in process orders for CareMark/CVS
pharmacies. Non-development projects include NIST-800 risk assessments, classroom
training, disaster recovery and continuity of business plan
development, and providing network and VOIP support for several local
charities. A wide range of technical experience has been instrumental in forming
STACS into the most highly capable and tightly integrated emergency
communications product currently available.
