thanks, JD. Do you know the terms I need to enter into google to find what I&#39;m looking for? What I want is an external housing for a single hard disk drive (maybe two) in which it is possible to swap out drives w/o unscrewing things. Maybe I would be better off getting a standard EHD?<br>

As you all know my hard drive is no more and all of my spares are kaput as well. I was thinking that instead of an internal hard drive I would get an external one. Then, I could always have my computer with me:!) I have a NetVista computer. Do any of you know if I will have a problem booting from an external hard drive?  When I initialy boot and press F-12 it goes into boot media order and says that removable media is in the boot order so I suppose it&#39;s all good. What do you think?<span><font color="#888888"><br clear="all">
