Even so, that would not fulfill his requirement of it being automatically present AND with a known user and password. But yes, a LiveCD having it available to run on request is probably likely to have been done and by more than Gentoo. Good to know though. I wonder if they still have that.
I know gentoo used to include sshd on the live chat but you had to start is and set roots password. This was so you could start up and install remotely or troubleshoot.
