I think as far as &quot;Just a book&quot; the kindle and related devices are the way to go. After spending about 4 hours with each of these devices I think the cruz is a mile ahead of the novel. In the end it is like looking at a computer from the book aspect. I don&#39;t like reading off a screen so they both kinda fail there. The default app on the novel has a night mode that inverts the text to white on black. Sending a good amount of my day in a console I sorta dig this feature as my eyes are tuned to white on black.<div>

I am curious about your experiences with tablet readers. I have a Kindle and love it, but I am interested in the greater capabilites of a tablet. Part of the hype that differentiates the tablets from the e-ink devices is the following. E-ink advocates say that reading a tablet can cause more eye strain than an e-ink device because the brightness of the screen does not vary with the ambient light. They analogy they use is &quot;like having a flashlight shining in your eyes.&quot; Since e-ink devices depend on ambient light (ie are a reflective light technology), they are more like reading from a page of paper than a computer screen. Have you had any issues reading for a long time with tablets? <br>

Picked up a pandigital novel but turns out they are not that great. After about 4 hours of playing took it back and picked up the velocity Cruz reader. Out of the gate it looks like they want you to hack this thing. They have things in place to accommodate such a cause. So if your out looking at cheap readers that allow play time I definitely recommend you avoid pandigital and check out the cruz. <br clear="all">
