I would exercise caution with respect to charges. E.g. under Verizon's plans, doing so can put you into their capped, expensive data plan instead of the "unlimited" smart phone data plan.
Droid X is supposed to act as a wifi hotspot for up to five machines
so I would think it would be as simple as connecting rite?
