Job Description:
Manage a team of network engineers while being hands-on with various tasks
Provide leadership and vision for network design and implementation.
Lead successful technology projects in areas such as network access control, intrusion detection, IPv6, WAN optimization, security and network resiliency.
Responsible for the introduction and oversight of policies and procedures
Manage vendor relationships. Ensure IT vendor engagements are properly planned, managed, and coordinated.
Develop and execute audit documentation and testing activities for major regulatory initiatives (PCI, privacy laws, eDiscovery support, ITIL, etc.). Ensure proper controls have been implemented to protect sensitive company assets.
Function independently and recommend changes to operations, standards, policies, and procedures to maintain support capabilities
Ensure proper change control is managed and maintained for the Operations Environment. Track all changes, test, document, and manage communication for changes to the environment.
Responsible and accountable for overseeing employee's performance including preparation and presentation of performance reviews for direct reports. Directs employee salary/pay administration including disciplinary action for direct reports. Determines staffing requirements and performance selection interviews. Directs employee's adherence to Company and department policies, procedures, and practices.

Qualifications:
§
Minimum 8+ years of Cisco experience, plus implementation
experience
§ Minimum 10+ years
of troubleshooting and implementing wide area network
infrastructures
§ Bachelor
degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
required
§ Advanced knowledge
of Cisco IOS and CAT OS, Windows and Linux operating systems and extensive
knowledge of Point-to-Point concepts, entire suite for TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, and
ISDN
§ Strong
technical/analytical, verbal and written communication skills
required
§ Ability to
communicate and problem solve efficiently and effectively with identified
customers and IT personnel to ensure the implementation of accurate processes
required
§ Successfully
developed and implemented new work processes, process improvements, and
technology
§ Available to
provide support in a 24x7 production environment
§ Self-motivated, results oriented team player who pays
close attention to details, ensures accuracy, and exceeds efficiency
standards
§ Must be able to
thrive in an environment of managing multiple tasks with fixed
deadlines
§ Requires excellent
written and oral communication and presentation skills to interact with senior
management and technology staff
§ Cisco
Certification highly desirable (CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, etc.)
