Summary
The Senior System Administrator provides critical IT support for all technology
infrastructure, working closely with technical staff and end users to solve
problems and increase production efficiency.
Responsibilities
Administration of server, storage, network and data center infrastructure.
Analysis and documentation of systems, workflows, and configurations.
Development of tools to assist in analysis, reporting, and administration.
Regular contact with end users to ensure projects are efficient and successful.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree and/or work experience.
5+ years general experience administering Linux and/or BSD systems.
5+ years general experience administering high-performance data
networks.
3+ years experience with Ruby, Perl, and/or Python.
Rock-solid understanding of Unix, NFS, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
Experience with enterprise storage technologies (NFS, iSCSI, SANs, etc.)
Experience with virtualization technologies (Xen, VMware, etc.)
Experience with automation tools (imaging, configuration management, etc.).
Experience with monitoring, discovery, and trending tools.
Experience with Asterisk preferred.
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or Filemaker preferred.
Experience with structured technology evaluations, RFPs, etc. preferred.
Experience with Foundry/Brocade, and/or Cisco products preferred.
Experience with NetApp products preferred.
Experience with data center design and operations preferred.
