If you want an automated offsite backup plan get a cheep machine, toss in some decent storage, and use rSync over the net.

If you really want to know more about backups come to AbleConf this Saturday and listen to my disaster recovery presentation I will give you a sampling of a few OSS options and provide you with a decent smidgen of information that will be useful.
