Hey guys, I am so excited. I did a job last week in this guys penthouse. This guys condo was comprised of two floors with roof access and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. I go in and he has one television in the corner going and nothing else. He tells me that two comcast technicians had been to his place and that each had spent 3 hours trying to get the other cable outlets working but to no avail. They then told him he would need a professional to do it. I wound up spending 6 hours there but I left the place with three additional outlets activated. It was crazy; in the wall next to the television was a hole with four cables running out of it and upstairs was another hole in the wall with five cables running out of it. Unfortunately, none of those cables were connected to each other (break in the line?). I found that one of the downstairs cables ran into a downstairs guest room and that one of the upstairs cables ran into the family room (also upstairs). I also found a cable upstairs that ran over the hallway and then down to where he wanted his tv to be. Cool.... found lines to where they need to be; now how do I get the cable upstairs? Well, I went into a closet where the cable ran into the condo and there was a cable running into a box. The box apparently was for closed circuit tv from a previous resident and that cable ran to the upstairs master closet. I then finished up by running a cable from the master closet along the baseboard, over the doorway, into the water heater closet, through that wall into an adjoinig closet (which housed a bar), behind the bar, then along the baseboards to the outlet that fed the bedroom and the family room tvs.
Isn't that a great story? I beat comcast!
