Expect script kiddies to nmap scan large blocks of IP's for open ports.
If you send email to/from ANY security lists or interact with any persons of great curiosity and technical ethics, be certain to employ an iptables type firewall that says:
1) I will allow telnet/ssh to/from $IPLIST
2) If you attempt to multicast or packet spoof or exploit DNS tunnelling, I will likewise bit bucket you.
These 20 line iptable examples are readily available.
Remember, I am a 50+ year old woman -- I can brute force your ssh/telnet in about 15 minutes.
