Yes they are very incorrigible, I know that first hand...

I'm not sure what you meant by using sub-domains... You mean get a plain vanilla domain and use sub-domains to create sections or categories?

I just want to say GoDaddy is absolutely incorrigible!  There was another similar complaint on AZIPA not so long ago, the accusation was that GoDaddy was brokering the WHOIS queries to domain squatters. I had thought that GoDaddy would not engage in such activities, but now I have my doubts.

I still don't understand why people don't use subdomains more often.  If domain names are the new real estate, what are subdomains, the new condos? :)

Here is the latest turn of events - Yesterday I setup a transfer to 1and1 and today I get an email from GoDaddy as follows:

Dear Keith Smith,

The transfer of GODADDYGRILL.COM from Domains Priced Right to another
registrar could not be completed for the following reason(s):

Evidence of legal or other dispute such as a Court order, reasonable
dispute over the identity of the Registered Name Holder, or an action of

the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.

Okay ... These guys are really starting to irritate me!

Sounds good. I certainly am not advocating "fighting" with
anybody, either. It's just a matter of taking a stand for what
is reasonable and just.

Good call.

I think everybody on the planet would be shocked and repulsed
if godaddy tried to do anything to harm you or anybody in any way.
Such a misstep by them could very well prompt a mass exodus of
registrations transferred to other registrars.

Well worth exploring. Some "activist" might be very
interested in it. Or it might make a great BBQ grill
trademark name worth developing.

;))
