I am currently enrolled in the *nix admin course, and would have to say it filled in the gaps in my knowledge, and so far am satisfied with the material (50% done).
I never had any formal training on *nix, and would say this course was good for me, as I didn't touch(in depth) on all the items we have covered in the course, in normal day-to-day administration.

Otherwise, if you have attended CS or MIS classes at a university, etc, you may already have covered the Oreilly material(but I wouldnt know, since I havent taken CS/MIS courses).
