Don&#39;t bother with the installer. Just extract the <a href="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz">tarball</a> (flash 9 linked, in case that&#39;s not what you were installing or if you were using a different file): tar -xzvf install_flashlalalablahblah.tar.gz, cd flashblahblahblah, and then sudo cp 
libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and you&#39;ll be good to go.<br>
