I agree.  the message should be removed.  I thought it only showed up
when scsi emulation was being used but who knows . . . .  That depends
on your distro and how it's configured.  run lsmod and see if sg or
ide-scsi is loaded and see if ide-cd or ide_cd is loaded.  the latter
two should be.  the first two should probably not be--but cdrecording
isn't the only reason to have them.

Checked 3 machines running ubuntu 6.06, 6.10, and kubuntu 6.06. All are running ide_cd and lsmod shows no line of output with the letters sg.

not that i know of.  you can google it but there are too many variations
on something that MIGHT go wrong to narrow search terms.  Generally
nothing is going wrong.
