I'm sure most have read the open letter from Novell, but if not you should:
    http://www.novell.com/linux/microsoft/community_open_letter.html

the corresponding M$ letter is nothing but doubletalk so find and read it if you must, but it wasn't worth the effort for me to seek it out again to put a link here.

An interesting continuation of this story just came across NewsForge
today.  There will be a special OpenSUSE IRC meeting on Monday, November
27th, 10:00AM (if I read the time zones right) to discuss the
Novell/Microsoft deal.

I don't know if I will connect and I probably will not be able to pay
full attention if I do.  But the same URL above will have a link to the
transcript after the meeting.  I'll certainly be reading that in any case.
