I've tried Gentoo before, decided it was too much work, and given up. Right now, though, I'm running Sabayon and loving it. However, it doesn't give you any choices of which packages to install, so I'd recommend grabbing the miniEdition.
Anyone have thoughts on Sabayon? (http://www.sabayonlinux.org/) I just read a little about it.
It sounds like an interesting gentoo-based distro. What's intersting to me about it is that it
comes with media codecs and graphics drivers ready to go. That and it seems like a lot
less time commitment than full blown gentoo.
I was thinking of taking it for a spin on the laptop.
