Not to discourage the interaction via email and this list if you want to
continue here, but...

This appears to be the perfect situation to use the PLUG IRC channel.  You
can ask questions back and forth in "real time" and move to a solution
faster than waiting on emails.

Point your IRC client (GAIM, XChat, Chatzilla (built into Mozilla),
whatever) at irc.freenode.net.  Then, join channel #plugaz (command "/join
#plugaz" without quotes).

  Most people in the #plugaz chan are idle a large portion of the time. On a side note, the same IRC network also has distro-specific channels eg. #fedora_core,#debian,##slackware,etc which are quite full and are usually very helpful.
