I've just installed Damn Small Linux on an old
emachines computer. 334 Mhz, 32 megs of RAM and a 3.2 gig hard drive. Now I
obviously want to connect it to our wireless network, and since DSL comes with
ndiswrapper, I thought I'd test it out with my wifi adapter I use with the
computer I'm posting this from now. But whenever I try to install the driver the
computer locks up and wont respond to anything unless I restart it. The first
time it happened X screwed up and I had to reinstall DSL (I'm no Linux guru, so
that was the easiest solution for me). Which wasn't a big problem, but I just
want to get this old crap-heap connected to the Internet! Anyone have any ideas
on what can fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Cat
