Functional Job Title: Transition Engineer

Positions Available: SIX (6)

Contract Rate: 40/hr W2

Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. MST. -OR- 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. MST.
Position requires mandatory evening/night support and/or overtime as needed.


Job Description:
Transition Engineers (TEs) are responsible for integrating and deploying developed web applications. The TE functions as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and development resource for the operating system and environment. The TE also provides guidance for process, standards, and best practices.

Mandatory Skills (Required):

• 5 years experience in diversified background of applied technical support including experience in web and Internet technologies.
• Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions in a high pressure environment; ability to apply advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong written and oral communications.
• Ability to multitask and work multiple issues simultaneously.
• Strong customer interface skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Sun Solaris 2.x and demonstrated applicable experience.
• Strong knowledge and applied experience with LAN/WAN technology and TCP/IP.
• Basic knowledge of command level (no graphical interface) operation with one or more of the following: IBM WebSphere Application Server versions 3.5, 4.0, and 5.0.

• Experience with or knowledge of Message Queueing (MQ) and Java Messaging Service (JMS).
