Two solid options, hit up amazon and look for refurbished machines. you can get something far more robust. this will let you stretch your budget some. for darktable i suggest you make sure you have 8-16 GB rom for what you are doing. and choose at least an i5 if not an i7 4 core CPU this will give you the best options for use.
