Yes,  that is the problem.  We are losing by small increments.  I think we are seeing what is going to be done.  Sheriffs are starting to take their rightful place as are the States.  It may take 10 or 20 years for this to play out, however we will see a smaller less intrusive government at some point even if we do nothing.  The Federal Government will run out of money soon. The Federal Government is twice as big as is economically feasible.  ------------------------ Keith Smith --- On Sun, 1/27/13, Lyle Tuttle wrote: From: Lyle Tuttle Subject: OT: Re: Starting Today, It's Illegal to Unlock Your Cellphone To: "Main PLUG discussion list" Date: Sunday, January 27, 2013, 6:02 AM Yes, I agree.  The question is, "What are you doing about it?"  An inch at a time..... Th article says in part: The worst-case scenario for an individual or civil offense could be as much as a $2,500 fine. As for those planning to profit off of the act or a criminal offense -- such as a cellphone reseller -- the fine could be as high as $500,000 and include prison time. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/now-illegal-unlock-cellphone/story?id=18319518   ------------------------ Keith Smith --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss -- "I get my copy of the daily paper, look at the obituaries page, and if I知 not there, I carry on as usual."
