March 10th, 2012 Flag Event STACS Encroachment HackFest This competition online hackfest will feature a short Presentation about the STACS Unit(s), which will be video recorded and posted. Encroachment will begin on March 10, 2012, from the MakerBench facility and continue for 4 days online. Dean Franks has been developing custom hardware and software solutions for over 30 years. Specializing in efficient, high availability systems, Dean has designed solutions for many Fortune 100 companies including CareMark/CVS, Allied Signal (now part of Honeywell), Fujitsu, StorageTek (now part of Sun Micro), Microsoft and Interact Commerce (now part of Sage Software). Dean's hardware projects including thumb print readers, CNC motion control systems and very high speed data acquisition interfaces for SAW signal analysis.
