I run ubuntu and I did 'apt-get install fontconfig' and then '...font' but to no avail. Then I did the locate and found a whole mess of fontconfigs on my system so it isn't a matter of installing the program but rather of getting poppler to see that it is installed. Could I possibly put a link to one of the existing fontconfig directories into the poppler directory? Do you have it. Wikipedia says: *Fontconfig* (or *fontconfig*) is a computer program librarydesigned to provide system-wide font configuration, customization, and application access. So I supose I don't really need it. Especially if it is elsewhere on my system. What do you think?
