Ryan! Great post! Ethics are such a huge part of everything we do. It's similar to being a scientist or medical practitioner ("first do not harm"). All of Firefox's Ad-ons have VERY LOSE trust verification. When installed, we exclude Firefox and state that we trust the developer, but mostly none ever check the code.
